Don & Lisa Smith
Don M. Smith is the Senior Pastor of Firm Foundation Ministries in Centreville, Michigan. He and his wife, Lisa, have been in the ministry since 1993. Don was involved in prison ministry in Florida for some years while also doing tent revivals across the south. He served as an elder and eventually co-pastor at Calvary Temple Worship Center in Florida until becoming the Senior Pastor at White Double Pond Community Church in Wausau, Florida. He served there until June of 2003 when he and his family moved to Michigan. He now lives in Centreville, Michigan with his wife, Lisa. His daughter, Malyn and her husband Brian and their 3 daughters and son live in Michigan and helped plant the FFM-Kalamazoo church. They are back now serving at Centreville. Their son, TC, and his wife Sarah have three daughters and live in Michigan and are also part of the church in Centreville. Pastor Don, and the Eldership team have led the church to become a place where discipleship and church planting are the main focus of the ministry and have established a fully accredited Bible College. EDGE Bible College is for the equipping of people to serve in the Kingdom of God. Don has written a discipleship program that was published in 2006. The name of the book is With Total Abandon. The book focuses on leadership training and team ministry concepts. Firm Foundation Ministries is a church that is growing, The community is being impacted, and the Kingdom of God is being established.
Pastor Don and Lisa travel the world teaching and training church leadership and doing marriage seminars. Their focus is on discipleship and helping churches become a healthy strong part of their community. Brazil, Guatemala, Nicaragua, the Dominican Republic, England, and Canada are places where Pastor Don travels often planting churches and helping established churches grow. His passion for the local church is contagious and energizing.
